When VIRGINIA has been in San Lorenzo for 100 days, she gives LOLA and her friends a book written by her. The book, which is entitled 100 Days in San Lorenzo, is met with indignation by LOLA and her companions. It depicts the neighbourhood as a disgusting place and LOLA and her friends as a gang of thugs. VIRGINIA, on the other hand, is portrayed as a heroine endowed with all possible virtues. Very soon, thanks to her father's power and influence, Virginiaâs book is in all the bookshops. Then, in an attempt to clean up the neighbourhoodâs image, the city council decides to demolish the skateboard bowl where LOLA and her mates usually meet.
